CURATED EXHIBITIONS
Pavillon du Collectionneur presents a selection of fully developed curated exhibitions and exhibition projects available to museums and cultural institutions across Europe. Each project is based on research and a carefully considered selection of original objects from the collection.
The projects can be presented on different scales — from an intimate presentation to a larger museum exhibition. The selection of objects and the exhibition format are discussed individually with the host institution, taking into account its curatorial interests, exhibition space and technical requirements.
Exhibitions are scheduled in advance, allowing a minimum of four months for preparation and coordination.

CHRISTMAS FAIRYTALE
CONCEPT
During the second half of the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth century, East Asian decorative arts created for export occupied an important place in the European art market. Their arrival in Europe became part of a broader cultural dialogue, stimulating fascination with Eastern aesthetics, craftsmanship and artistic traditions, while profoundly influencing the development of European decorative arts, including Art Nouveau and, later, Art Deco.
The Allure of the East explores this cultural encounter through more than 100 works from the collection. Lacquerware, porcelain, silk, carved wood, fans, metalwork and other objects reveal the remarkable diversity, craftsmanship and artistic refinement of East Asian decorative arts that captivated European collectors, artists and designers.
The exhibition is complemented by fifteen fine art photographic works by Aleksandra Chudnovsky, created especially for The Allure of the East. Through her distinctive contemporary vision, the visual language of the East is reimagined in photography — its sense of form, balance, nature and poetic restraint emerging in a new artistic context. The series creates a dialogue between the historical collection and the artist’s individual visual language.
​THE PROJECT
The project brings together more than 100 objects from the collection, original curatorial research and fifteen fine art photographic works created especially for The Allure of the East.

A specially developed programme of lectures and creative workshops accompanies the exhibition, extending its themes beyond the display itself.
